Despite the structure’s fairly good shape, it had significant waterproofing issues, especially around the roof segment and its windows. In addition, the concrete structure of the balconies and header beams had severe rot which had to be removed and repaired. In the next phase all exterior elements were isolated in order to preserve their structural qualities for the long run. The finishing steps consisted of new wooden flooring for the balconies, installation of higher metal balustrades, a new gutter and downspouts, windscreens, sun canopies and finally outdoor light fixtures.
